Last weekend saw 42 students from UTC venture out on the long anticipated DofE Expedition for both Bronze and Silver Award. All teams made it back to Cobtree Park in good time on Sunday afternoon to be greeted by their relieved parents. Congratulations to all those who took part! https://t.co/IEo166AAb4
Ahead of our first ever DofE Expedition, our student teams spent time planning the meals that they would cook as a group once at the campsite. Using campsite stoves and mini gas canisters, students got an insight into how things would hopefully pan out on the expedition day. https://t.co/6EQvGsTLeD
Bertie has now completed his 'dog mentor' training and will begin working with pupils at Waterfront UTC! Students will have an assembly in the coming weeks about Bertie's role in the school, and how he will support students and the pastoral team. https://t.co/8BBUuq2seD
The parents of students enrolled in the DofE programme attended a Parents Information Evening. As we edge closer to the expedition due to take place in May, Angela and Dave from Medway Youth Service were on hand to go through the all-important dates, times and drop off points. https://t.co/32a76wnDk6
