  • Teacher of English (£4k Golden Hello)

    Salary MPS/UPS + £4k Golden Hello

    Waterfront UTC is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic Teacher of English who is committed to excellence from September 2024.

    The successful candidate will be a creative and dynamic practitioner who will be able to contribute to the development of our thriving English Department and help drive forward our agenda of continuous improvement.

    This is a permanent, part-time role, paid on the basis of MPS/UPS, dependant on experience. The working hours and days are negotiable and will be discussed at interview level.

    The school is offering a recruitment incentive of £4k. This is split into the following payments - £2k subject to the successful completion of a 6 month probationary period, and a further £2k to be paid from one full academic year from the start date as a retention incentive. This is subject to the successful candidate remaining at the school for at least that next year.

  • Examinations & Admissions Officer

    Salary NJC D2 Points 7-11 (FTE £24,294 - £25,979)

    Waterfront UTC is seeking to appoint a highly effective Examinations & Admissions Officer, to start from September 2024.

    The successful candidate will have an attention to detail, will work to a high standard, and will seek to ensure a positive educational environment through their work. In return, The Howard Academy Trust offers a wide variety of benefits, details of which are outlined below.

    We have an ambitious vision for our school driven by our excellent team to ensure our students experience as much Outstanding and Good practice as possible. In line with this, we are looking for a candidate who can regularly deliver lessons to these standards.

    This is a full time, 37 hours per week, permanent role, Term Time Only + 2 weeks, paid based on the NJC pasyscale D2 point 7-11 (FTE £24,294 - £25,979– actual salary calculated on a pro rata basis).

    We are also accepting applications for part time or flexible working, which can be discussed further at interview level.

    Waterfront UTC is seeking to appoint a member of staff to join our Science Department. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, talented, and passionate Teacher of Science, to start from September 2024 or January 2025.

    You will have excellent subject knowledge and be confident that students in your care will make exceptional progress. This is a great opportunity for someone to join a team which is forward-thinking and focused on doing the very best for every student.

This is split into the following payments - £2.5k subject to the successful completion of a 6 month probationary period, and a further £2.5k to be paid in September '25 as a retention incentive. This is subject to the successful candidate remaining at the school for at least that next year.

    This position would suit an experienced or Early Career Teacher with good prospects for career development.
