A-Level Results Day 2020

Students and staff were celebrating yesterday, as Waterfront UTC’s sixth form students collected their results and shared their exciting next steps in what one can only describe as a very extraordinary year.

39% of Engineering students and 67% of Construction students achieved the top grades of Distinction* or Distinction.

Some outstanding performances include:
Tom - 3 x Distinction* and 2 x C – Studying Aerospace Engineering at the University of Hertfordshire
Shannon - 3 x Distinction* - Apprenticeship with Willmot Dixon

Chand - 2 x Distinction *and 1 x Distinction - Studying Aerospace Engineering at the University of Kingston
William - 1 x Distinction*, 2 x Distinction and 1 x C – Apprenticeship in Mechatronics with Amazon

As a UTC that specialises in Engineering and Construction, we are delighted with the percentage of our students moving onto impressive apprenticeships and university courses in these sectors. With widely reported skills shortages in both the engineering and construction sectors, the UTC’s aim has been to train confident, highly competent individuals to fill the roles of the future. Today, Waterfront UTC are delighted to see that the students’ hard work has paid off and the school is able to celebrate their success.
